About Me

A graduate of Mountview Academy of Performing Arts, I worked as an actress and jazz singer for 15 years before moving exclusively into teaching.

I have worked extensively with children and adults in a variety of settings, from schools and nurseries, to houses, community centres and church halls. I have over ten years’ teaching experience, both in mainstream settings and with children with learning disabilities, including children with profound and multiple learning disabilities, autism and additional needs.

Discovering drama as a child was a turning point in my life. Not only did it set me on my career path, but on a personal level I know first-hand how drama can boost confidence, help a child overcome shyness, learn new skills and how to express themselves. I really believe it can be a transformative and magical experience, and it is this wonder that I always strive to awaken in every child I teach.

If you wish to discuss the needs of your child or group, I’d be more than happy to have a chat. If I don’t answer the phone right away, I’m probably being given the runaround by my daughters Poppy and Niamh – but leave me a message and I’ll call you right back!
